Statement
In my paintings, I stretch the bounds of life to create my own vision of the world. Through exaggeration and fabrication, I twist the idea of what a typical portrait would look like. I strive to show emotion, movement and a likeness to the subject I’m representing in my paintings. I create work which demands the viewer’s attention and makes them interested in who or what they're seeing.
Bio
Victor Aguirre Williams was born in 1999 in Madrid, Spain. In 2021 he received his BA in Studio Art with concentrations in Painting and Ceramics at Salve Regina University.
Aguirre Williams has been featured in various exhibitions including Best Of Salve Students Exhibitions, Rockport Art Association contributing members show, Newburyport Art Association contributing members show, and The Providence Art Club Student Exhibition. Upcoming include the Senior Thesis Exhibition at the Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery, at Salve Regina University.
